Time To Start Some New Projects

Well, it has started raining in the Pacific Northwest again.  After such beautiful sunny days, the dark and rainy days make me feel like snuggling under a soft throw with a good book and a fire.  This is also the time of year that I start my indoor projects.

My poor husband.  He’s never liked change, and I love change.  Consequently, I get bored with my decor and start making and inserting new “things” into our home.  I have a love for old, vintage things that I kept from growing up in the 50’s and 60’s, or finding at antique and thrift stores.  If they don’t exactly look that old, I am happy to reuse them after I give them the “treatment”.  The treatment can be repainting, making them shabby, or adding vintage embellishments.

I kept our big black rotary phone from the early 60’s, but needed a way to display it.  And…my husband loves the way it fits into our bedroom now.Image

About rhondasblogs

I am a retired grandma who loves to craft, hand-quilt, antique and thrift store shop, and upcycle found treasures. And...always looking to try new art media. I love gardening using eclectic ideas and vintage pieces, with green natural products. I am Paleo and try to eat pure and allergy free, searching recipes, revising and substituting ingredients to fit my restricted diet; gluten, dairy, and egg free, including some nuts. I try to live green and organic, slowly dragging my family along with me.
